The body is crafted from durable iron for long-term daily use, while the heart of the sharpener — the blade — is made from specially processed steel for precision sharpening and lasting sharpness. A new chuck design helps prevent the pencil from spinning while sharpening (note: light holding marks may appear on the pencil, and movement can vary by pencil type). The sharpener also features a "dull prevention" mechanism that lightens the handle action once the pencil is sharpened, so you know exactly when to stop. Two lead-thickness settings (0.5mm and 0.9mm) let you choose a finer or slightly thicker point to suit your writing or drawing style.
