About SHOPPUROO™
SHOPPUROO™ is a family-owned Australian business based in Brisbane, Queensland. All orders are carefully processed and dispatched from our Brisbane warehouse directly to your door across Australia and New Zealand.
SHOPPUROO™ operates exclusively as an online store — we don't have a public retail shopfront or showroom. But we'd love to connect with you online! Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for behind-the-scenes content, new arrivals, and exclusive deals.

SHOPPUROO™ was born from a family adventure. In 2022, after the pandemic, we took our first family trip to Japan — and fell completely in love with the incredible variety of unique, beautifully crafted products we discovered there. Our kids were fascinated by toys and games they had never seen in Australia, and we couldn't stop filling our bags. That spark of joy and discovery inspired us to bring that same experience back home. We returned to Brisbane and built SHOPPUROO™ from the ground up — so you can find your own treasure without needing a plane ticket. Read our full story on our About Us page.

The name SHOPPUROO™ is a blend of two words — "Shoppu" (ショップ), which means "shop" in Japanese, and "Roo," the Australian slang term for kangaroo. It reflects our multicultural identity: a proudly Australian family business with a deep love for Japanese culture and products. The name captures exactly what we're about — bringing together the best of both worlds in one joyful shopping experience.

Our logo brings together four elements: a kangaroo, a shopping bag, our business name, and a smile. The kangaroo represents our Australian roots, while the shopping bag signifies who we are — a retail business built around discovery and delight. The two semi-circles form both the eyes of the bag and the kangaroo's hands, creating a playful, integrated design. At the centre is a smile — which also symbolises the kangaroo's pouch. Just as a kangaroo carries its loved ones close, we want every customer to shop joyfully with a bag full of amazing finds.

Shipping & Delivery
SHOPPUROO™ operates exclusively as an online store. At this stage we don't offer Click & Collect, local pick-up, or a walk-in showroom — but every order is carefully packed and dispatched from our Brisbane warehouse, shipping directly to your door across Australia and New Zealand.
Standard shipping within Australia is a flat rate of $13.50 for orders under $129. Free standard shipping is automatically applied at checkout on all orders over $129 (after discounts). Please note that bulky items may incur additional charges and are excluded from free shipping regardless of order value. See ourShipping Policy for full details.
Express shipping within Australia is available on request. Please email our team at info@shoppuroo.com.au for details and a personalised quote. For New Zealand customers, international express shipping (estimated 2–5 business days after dispatch) is available and calculated at checkout.
Yes — free standard shipping is available on all Australian orders over $129 (after discounts). It is automatically applied at checkout. No coupon code needed. For orders under $129, standard shipping is a flat rate of $13.50.
We aim to dispatch all in-stock orders within 1–3 business days from our Brisbane warehouse. As a family-operated business, occasional delays may occur during Queensland school holidays or peak seasons — we appreciate your understanding. Once dispatched, estimated delivery times are:

Yes, we ship to New Zealand via Australia Post, with both standard and express international options available. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your total order weight including packaging. All NZ orders are charged in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) — use the currency selector at the top right of our website to view prices in NZD. Please note that your order may be subject to NZ GST, import duties, and customs processing fees, which are payable by the customer and not included in product or shipping prices.
At this stage, SHOPPUROO™ ships to Australia and New Zealand only. We hope to expand to more destinations in the future — follow us on Facebook, Instagram or sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know.
Yes — in most cases this is absolutely fine, as we dispatch via Australia Post. Simply enter your PO Box or Parcel Locker details correctly at checkout. For oversized items, we'll reach out to arrange an alternative delivery option.
Yes — all orders include tracking. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking details. You can track your delivery via Australia Post atauspost.com.au or through the Australia Post app. Please ensure your delivery address is correct at checkout — SHOPPUROO™ is not responsible for delays or lost parcels due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
Pre-order and back-order items are products currently on-order from our suppliers — they may be in production, in transit, or awaiting delivery. Estimated delivery windows are:
- Earliest: approximately 3 weeks
- Typical: 4–8 weeks
- Extended: 8–12 weeks
- Complex: 12+ weeks
Delivery times vary depending on the product's status and supplier lead times. We will keep you updated via email. If an item you ordered becomes unavailable, we will contact you and offer a replacement, store credit, or full refund.
If your order hasn't arrived within the expected timeframe, please first check your tracking details via Australia Post. If your parcel appears lost or stuck in transit, please contact our team at info@shoppuroo.com.au and we will investigate on your behalf. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable once your order has been dispatched.
Orders and Payment
We accept all major payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and UnionPay. All transactions are processed securely through Shopify's encrypted checkout — your payment details are never stored on our servers.
If you need to change or cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible at info@shoppuroo.com.au with your order number in the subject line. We'll do our best to help — as we pack and ship orders quickly, we generally have a 2-hour window from the time of purchase before your order is on its way.
If your order has already been dispatched by the time you reach us, unfortunately we are unable to make any further changes at that point.
We don't offer gift wrapping at this stage — but watch this space! In the meantime, many of our products make beautiful gifts just as they are, and our packaging is always neat and carefully packed with care.
Absolutely — we'd love to help. Depending on what you need, we may be able to fulfil from our existing stock or arrange a special order directly from our suppliers. Not at this stage — we deliberately keep things simple so we can focus on what matters most: keeping our admin costs low and passing the savings on to you through the best prices possible. Every product we sell is genuine and carefully hand-picked for quality — real brands, real craftsmanship, no imitations. Our range is led by trusted Japanese brands including Tombow, Kokuyo, Zebra, Midori, Tomica, Livheart, Sanrio and Skater, alongside a carefully curated selection of quality international brands. As with many global brands, some products may be manufactured outside Japan — but every item we carry is authentic, not an imitation, and selected by our team for its quality, usefulness, and the joy it brings. Mino-yaki is a style of Japanese ceramic pottery produced in the Mino region of Gifu Prefecture, Japan — one of the most celebrated pottery-producing areas in the country with a history spanning over 1,300 years. We do restock many of our popular items — however, availability depends on our suppliers and is not always guaranteed. The best ways to stay across restocks are:

Returns And Exchange
We offer a 14-day return policy. You have 14 days from the date your order is delivered to request a return. To be eligible, items must be unused, unworn, in their original packaging with tags attached, and accompanied by proof of purchase. A photo of the item is required before we can accept the return.
Please note that the following items cannot be returned unless faulty or defective: Sale, Clearance, Final Sale, or Non-Returnable items, perishable goods, personalised or custom products, personal care and health products, gift cards, and hazardous materials.
