OUR STORY
Like many of you, we love traveling and shopping. In 2022, we took our first family trip to Japan after the pandemic. We were inspired by the wide variety of unique products we discovered, and our kids were fascinated by the games and toys they had never seen in Australia. That’s when an exciting idea sparked—why not start a business that brings joy, purpose, and value to others? With this in mind, we returned to Australia and built SHOPPUROO™ from the ground up, embarking on a journey to share that same sense of discovery and delight with you.
BRAND MEANING
The name SHOPPUROO™ is a blend of two words: "Shoppu" (ショップ), which means "shop" in Japanese, and "Roo," the Australian slang term for kangaroo. This combination reflects our multicultural background and our commitment to offering a diverse range of high-quality products sourced from both local and international markets. It perfectly captures our mission: to bring together the best of both worlds in one convenient, joyful shopping experience.
OUR LOGO
Our logo consists of four key elements: a kangaroo, a shopping bag, our business name, and a smile.
The kangaroo is our company’s symbolic animal, representing our Australian roots. The two semi-circle shapes resemble both the eyes of the shopping bag and the kangaroo’s hands, creating a playful, integrated design. The shopping bag signifies that we are a retail business, and our business name, SHOPPUROO™, is incorporated within it.
At the centre of the logo is a smile, which also symbolises the kangaroo’s pouch. Just as a kangaroo carries its loved ones in its pouch, we want our customers to shop joyfully with a bag full of amazing products.
